New Delhi, Feb 14 (UNI) Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Friday paid tributes to over 40 CRPF martyrs killed in a terror attack a year ago in Pulwama.
"Tributes to the brave martyrs who lost their lives in the gruesome Pulwama attack last year," he said in a tweet, which further read, "They (the martyrs) were exceptional individuals who devoted their lives to serving and protecting our nation. India will never forget their martyrdom'.
On February 14, 2019, over 40 Central Reserve Police Force personnel were killed in a deadly terror attack by the suicide bomber of Pakistan-backed Jaish-e-Mohammad in Pulwama district of Jammu and Kashmir, which caused a nationwide protest.
Subsequently, on February 26, the Indian Air Force (IAF) launched a counter-terror attack against the terror camps in Balakot in Pakistan.
