New Delhi, Nov 23 (UNI) Prime minister Narendra Modi condoled the demise of former three-time Assam Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi, who passed away at a Guwahati hospital on Monday, following post-COVID complications.
Taking to micro-blogging site Twitter, Mr Modi posted, 'Shri Tarun Gogoi Ji was a popular leader and a veteran administrator, who had years of political experience in Assam as well as the Centre. Anguished by his passing away. My thoughts are with his family and supporters in this hour of sadness. Om Shanti.'
The 86-year-old breathed his last in the ICU of Gauhati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) at Guwahati in Assam.
