PFC signs agreement to construct 2 modular operation theatres in UP hospital

Pune, Aug 11 (UNI) The government-owned Power Finance Corporation Ltd (PFC), one of India's leading NBFCs, on Tuesday signed an agreement with district administration of Siddharthnagar in Uttar Pradesh for construction of two modular operation theatre rooms in its district hospital.
The agreement was signed by M Prabhakar Das, chief general manager at PFC, and Dr Dinesh Kumar Chaudhary, deputy chief medical officer of Siddharthnagar.
Under the agreement, PFC will provide financial assistance of close to Rs 94 lakh for execution of the project to the district administration of Siddharthnagar under its corporate social responsibility initiative.
The pact is intended to provide necessary support to the Siddharthnagar district administration to develop the necessary infrastructure in order to reduce infant mortality rate (IMR) and maternal mortality ratio (MMR) in the catchment area, thereby reducing the neonatal mortality rate (NMR) in the adjoining areas of the district, an official statement said.
