Petroleum Conservation Research Association announces inaugural

Mumbai, Jan 26 (UNI) India’s premier cyclothon, the 'Saksham
Cyclothon Mumbai 2018', will be held on February 25 here.
An initiative of Petroleum Conservation Research Association (PCRA),
under the aegis of Ministry of Petroleum & Natural Gas of Government
of India along with oil and gas PSUs, its objective is to inspire
Mumbaikars to lead a healthier lifestyle and to make them aware of
the conservation and effective utilisation of petroleum products.
There are six categories -- 58-km Elite Men, 38-km Elite Women,
28-km Amateur MTB and Hybrid for Men & Women, Amateur MTB Road Bike
Men and Women as well as 8-km Green Ride.
There will be free entries for Green Ride participants, whereas
Amateurs will be charged Rs 700. Age group for participation is 12
years plus for Green Ride and 15 years plus for Amateurs.
The Elite Men's event will flag off at 0630 hours, followed by Elite
Women's at 0640 hrs, Amateur Men & Women at 0730 hrs and Green Ride
at 0800 hrs.
All the categories will commence at P J Hindu Gymkhana and Wilson
Gymkhana Grounds on Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose Road in south Mumbai.
More than 5,000 cyclists are likely to take part in the inaugural
edition of the SakshamCyclothonMumbai 2018.
The registrations for this commenced on Thursday and will go on till
February 20.
