Pakistan alleges India using satellites for military purposes

Islamabad, Jan 11 (UNI) Pakistan on Thursday alleged that India's plan to send three Cartosat-2 series earth observation spacecraft, into space on Friday is meant for military use, saying that all space technologies are inherently dual use.
Foreign Office spokesperson Dr Mohammad Faisal in his weekly briefing said India should refrain from using space technology for military purposes and that [such measures] could disrupt the balance of power in the region.
"All states have a legitimate right to pursue peaceful uses of space technologies. However, given the dual-use nature of such technologies, it is essential that such pursuits are not directed towards a buildup of destabilising military capabilities, which can negatively impact the regional strategic stability," he said.
