Islamabad, Sep 28 (UNI) Pakistan today described India’s decision to pull out of SAARC Summit as unfortunate but said that it would go ahead with the regional event. Foreign Office Spokesperson Nafees Zakaria said his country was yet to receive any official communication from India, and it came to know about New Delhi’s decision only through External Affairs Ministry’s tweet, according to Radio Pakistan. Mr Zakaria said Pakistan was committed to regional peace and would continue its effort to make the regional initiative a success in the broader interest of the people. Besides India, Bangladesh, Bhutan and Afghanistan have also announced their decision to boycott the Summit to be held in Pakistan in November, saying that the prevailing atmosphere was not conducive for holding the event. India decided to boycott the regional event as part of a series of step to isolate Pakistan diplomatically following the Uri terror attack that left 18 Indian soldiers dead. UNI NAZ DS RSA 1729
