Pak terror groups are working against China as well, says official

New Delhi, Mar 16 (UNI) India is firm about getting Pakistan-based JeM chief Masood Azhar listed as global terrorist by UNSC and is also keen to wait patiently as long as it takes.
Sources here also said that Pakistan's complicity on terror is now a known thing. Beijing is, thus, well aware that there are groups in Pakistan which are working against Chinese interests.
This was suggested by official sources here amid mounting pressure on China from other global players like France to see reason for early execution of plans to designate Azhar, whose JeM owned the responsibility of Pulwama attack, to be proscribed by the powerful UN organ.
India's campaign from official perspective has been that the diplomatic offensive launched post-Pulwama has yielded results. In fact, 14 of the 15 UNSC members are with India's view and seven of them even co-sponsored the proposal to list Masood Azhar as a global terrorist by the UNSC.

Sources said India is cautiously confident that eventually Masood Azhar, who was also responsible for 2001 Parliament attack, will be eventually get proscribed by the UNSC.
Apparently, India also understands that there are certain issues - China needs to resolve with Pakistan on the matter, but from New Delhi's point of view there will not be chance of cutting a deal.
New Delhi displayed similar firm resolve during the crisis when Wing Commander Abhinandan was in Pakistan custody and had made it clear to Imran Khan regime that they will have to release him unconditionally, sources said.
The government is ready to wait on Masood Azhar issue, sources said adding that it may take even months - but the security establishment in Delhi is ready for the long haul.
