Padma Shri conferred on two from Nagaland

Kohima Jan 26 (UNI) Two persons from Nagaland, Lentina Ao Thakkar and Piyong Temjen Jamir, are among the 73 persons chosen for Padma Shri awards 2018.

According to sources Lentina, a Gandhian, who has served for decades at a Gandhi Ashram at Chuchuyimlang village under Mokokchung district, has been recognised for her social work, while Piyong Temjen Jamir, the Principal of Rashtrabhasha Hindi Shiksha Sansthan at Padum Pukhuri in Dimapur for literature and education.
