Over 200 held as they attempt to picket PPCB

Puducherry, Jun 26 (UNI) More than 200 volunteers of different organizatons including Federation for People’s Rights (FPR) were arrested when they attempted to picket the Puducherry Pollution Control Board (PPCB) to press their demands.

It may be noted that, the Central Pollution Control Board officials from Bengaluru has directed the Marg Port, Karaikal to use fully closed conveyor belt while handling coal in the Port as it is causing environment pollution and health hazard to the people of Karaikal and surrounding areas.
