Osama's son and heir, Hamza, killed in US-led counter terror operation: Trump

Osama's son and heir, Hamza, killed in US-led counter terror operation: Trump

Washington, Sep 14 (UNI) With a bounty of one million dollars on his head, son and heir of Osama-bin-Laden, leader of the Al Qaeda Hamza-bin-Laden has been killed in a counter-terrorism operation in the Afghanistan-Pakistan region, US President Donald Trump confirmed on Saturday.
"Hamza bin Laden, the high-ranking Al-Qaeda member and son of Osama bin Laden, was killed in a United States counter terrorism operation in the Afghanistan/Pakistan region,” Mr Trump said in a statement.
"The loss of Hamza Bin Laden not only deprives al-Qaeda of important leadership skills and the symbolic connection to his father, but undermines important operational activities of the group."
The development came days after the US President declared the peace parleys with the Taliban dead.
