Agartala, Aug 18 (UNI) The opposition CPI (M) and Congress have accused ruling BJP of persuading vendetta politics and carrying out atrocities against their workers.
They alleged that the ruling party has mobilised police against the opposition and was trying to frame them in false cases.
Former minister of left front government and sitting CPI (M) MLA Tapan Chakraborty alleged that an elected member of Srinathpur Gram Panchayat in Kailashahar under Unokoti district had been arrested in a false case yesterday, just to prevent them from taking oath and bring the panchayat under BJP’s control.
