Odisha: Naveen releases assistances to over 43 lakh farmers under KALIA scheme

Bhubaneswar, April 1 (UNI) On the occasion of Utkal Divas, Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik provided assistance to more than 43 lakh farmers of the state for the Kharif crop activities under Krushak Assistance for Livelihood and Income Augmentation (KALIA ) scheme.
The scheme was launched by the state Government for farmer's welfare with an objective to accelerate agricultural prosperity and reduce poverty in the State and to encourage cultivation and associated activities.
Official sources said an assistance of Rs 877 crore has been transferred to the accounts of more than 43 lakh farmers of the state.
