Odisha Crime Branch to investigate abduction and murder of five-year-old girl: Minister

Bhubaneswar, Nov 26 (UNI) The Crime Branch of Odisha police will investigate the abduction and murder of a five-year-old girl at Jadupur village in Nayagarha district in July last, Minister of State for Home Dibya Shankar Mishra told the Assembly today.
Mr Mishra announced the CB inquiry while making a statement in the house following a direction from Speaker S N Patro.
The Speaker’s direction came in the wake of hue and cry in the house by the Opposition BJP and Congress members over the murder of the minor girl whose parents attempted self-immolation bid before the State Assembly on Tuesday alleging police inaction in apprehending the accused.
