NIA conducts searches across TN over ISIS links

Nagapattinam, Jul 13 (UNI) The National Investigation Agency (NIA) on Saturday carried out raids in the houses of three persons at Chennai and Nagapattinam in Tamil Nadu and busted an Islamic State (IS) inspired ‘terror module that was planning to carry out terrorist attacks in India with the intention of establishing Islamic rule.’
The accused Syed Bukhari (A-1) of Chennai, Hassan Ali Yunusmaricar (A-2) and Mohammed Yusuffudeen alias Harish Mohamed (A-3) of Nagapattinam and others, based on credible information, had conspired and conducted consequent preparations to wage war against the Government of India by forming the terrorist gang “Ansarulla,” the NIA said on its official website.
It has also been learnt that the accused persons and their associates had collected funds and made preparations to carry out terrorist attacks in India, with the intention of establishing Islamic rule in India.
