Indonesia warns of extreme weather during Eid exodus

Jakarta, Mar 28 (UNI) Indonesian Agency for Meteorological, Climatological and Geophysics has warned of extreme weather risks during the upcoming exodus period of the Eid holiday, which will fall from April 8 to 12.
Millions of people are estimated to travel for the exodus tradition, locally known as mudik.
"We call on all travelers, transportation service providers and transportation operators to be aware of potential extreme weather during the exodus. The dynamics of Indonesia's atmosphere are extremely volatile, which may result in sudden changes in weather patterns," the agency's chief Dwikorita Karnawati said.
