US Army plans to fully restore navigation in Baltimore port by end of May

Washington, April 5 (UNI) The US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) on Friday released a tentative timeline for repairs to restore safe navigation in the Port of Baltimore following the collapse of the Francis Scott Key Bridge, saying the work could be completed by the end of May.

"USACE engineers are aiming to reopen the permanent, 700-foot-wide by 50-foot-deep federal navigation channel by the end of May, restoring port access to normal capacity," USACE said.
