Japan's largest mobile carrier publicly apologizes for large-scale service outage

Tokyo, Oct 15 (UNI/Sputnik) Vice president of Japan's largest mobile carrier, NTT Docomo, publicly apologized for the large-scale network outage that occurred on Thursday.
"We apologize for the inconvenience and concern caused to many people," Hozumi Tamura told a press conference.
On Thursday, the company reported a nationwide system failure, which disrupted cellular communication as users had troubles making calls and accessing the Internet. After three hours, 4G and 5G networks were restored, while 3G networks are still out of service and the company cannot say when the situation will be resolved.
