Russia's FSB detains 2 people recruited by Ukraine to carry out terror attacks in Crimea

Moscow, Mar 1 (UNI) The Russian Federal Security Service (FSB) said on Friday it detained a man and a woman in Russia who had been recruited by Ukraine's intelligence services to carry out terrorist attacks in Crimea.

"Russia's FSB is implementing measures to curb the diversion and terrorist activity of a network of agents of the Ukrainian special services in the Crimean peninsula. The measures resulted in the detention of a Simferopol resident, a Russian citizen born in 1984, who, instructed by the Ukrainian special services, was plotting a terrorist attack on one of the transport facilities in the Republic of Crimea. He also assisted the attack on railroad tracks in Simferopol last May, which was carried out by a diversion group supervised by the Main Directorate of Intelligence of the Ukrainian Defence Ministry," the FSB said in a statement.
