5.3-magnitude quake hits Bouvet Island region -- USGS

Beijing, Aug. 28 (Xinhua) An earthquake with a magnitude of 5.3 jolted Bouvet Island region at 0224 GMT on Friday, the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) said.

The epicenter, with a depth of 10.0 km, was initially determined to be at 54.7698 degrees south latitude and 1.5503 degrees east longitude.
