Chinese FM congratulates Putin on victory in prez election

Beijing, Mar 18 (UNI) China congratulates incumbent Russian President Vladimir Putin on his victory in the presidential election and expressed confidence that relations between Moscow and Beijing will continue to develop, Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Lin Jian said on Monday.
The three-day voting in the Russian presidential election ended on Sunday evening. Putin is leading in the election as of Monday morning with 87.3 per cent of the vote after processing 99.72 per cent of ballots, data from the Russian Central Election Commission showed.
