US Court denies Trump’s attempt to dismiss classified documents case charges - Filing

Washington, Mar 15 (UNI) The US District Court for the Southern District of Florida denied a request by former US President Donald Trump to dismiss criminal charges in a case involving his alleged mishandling of classified materials.
“Upon careful review of the Motion, related filings, and the arguments raised during the hearing, Defendant’s Motion is denied without prejudice,” District Judge Aileen Cannon said in an order filed Thursday.
Earlier in the day, Trump attended a hearing for the case in Florida.
Efforts to resolve the classified documents case come amid other ongoing legal cases involving Trump and ahead of the 2024 US presidential election, in which Trump is the leading Republican candidate.
