Nepal reports 2,942 fresh cases of COVID-19, tally now at 132,246

Kathmandu, Oct 18(UNI) Nepal registered 2,942 fresh cases of coronavirus infection on Sunday, taking the nationwide tally to 132,246, the country's Health Ministry informed.
There are currently 39,341 active cases of infection in the country, while 4,831 people are staying in different quarantine facilities in various parts across the country.
As many as 2,326 people who had earlier contracted the disease tested negative in the last 24 hours, while 92,166 people have so far made a complete recovery from the disease and have been discharged.
The country also added 12 new fatalities in the last 24 hours, taking the death toll to 739, The Himalayan Times reported.
