Israeli children back to schools, kindergartens

Jerusalem, Sep 1 (Xinhua) Israeli children started going back to school and kindergartens on Tuesday amid the coronavirus pandemic, while schools in "red cities" with higher risk level remained closed.
The education ministry said in a statement that about 2.4 million children and 205,000 education workers have started their school year throughout the country.
Under the education ministry's "Safe Learning" plan to halt infections, learning will be held in capsules, or small groups, for grades three to 12. Children will spend only two to five days at school while learning from home with distance courses for the rest of their school week.
