S Korea, US hold urban warfare drills near border with N Korea

Seoul, Mar 21 (UNI) South Korea and the United States held joint urban warfare drills this week at a training ground in the city of Paju that borders North Korea to bolster military readiness against threats in urban areas and underground facilities, South Korean news agency Yonhap reported on Thursday, citing Soul's army.

The five-day exercise kicked off at an urban operations training ground in Paju, 37 kilometres (23 miles) northwest of Seoul, on Monday, the report said.
