Pak investigators confirm theft of 2.7 million citizens' data

Islamabad, Mar 27 (UNI) A joint investigation team (JIT) in Pakistan has presented a report on the leak of 2.7 million people's data from the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) to the country's interior ministry, the Geo News broadcaster said on Wednesday, citing sources.
The JIT found that the data was stolen during the period from 2019 to 2023, the broadcaster said. The leaks took place in the NADRA offices in Multan, Karachi, and Peshawar cities, the sources said.
