Houthis say did not attack underwater cables

Sanaa, Feb 27 (UNI) Yemen’s Houthi movement did not attack underwater cables that connect Europe and Asia in the Red Sea, Houthi political office member Hezam al-Asad told Sputnik, adding that the United States and Israel are spreading such rumors.
The media has reported that Houthis damaged the underwater cables, and this caused communication outages in the Gulf countries and India.
"There were no actions on the part of Yemen aimed at damaging the Internet cables, and we have repeatedly confirmed this. This is simply an insinuation through which Tel Aviv, Washington and London seek to turn world public opinion against us instead of stopping the crimes of genocide committed by the Israeli armed forces with the support of the United States and the West against people of the Gaza Strip," al-Asad said.
