Manama, Sept 4 (UNI) Bahrain announced on Friday that all flights between the United Arab Emirates and Israel can cross its airspace, a move that will take the two countries one step closer towards normalisation of their bilateral and diplomatic relations, Al Jazeera reported.
This decision, came at the request of the UAE, following an agreement last month that saw the UAE becoming the third Arab country to work towards normalising relations with Israel.
"Bahrain will allow all flights coming to and departing from the United Arab Emirates to all countries to cross its airspace," reported the official Bahrain News Agency, citing an official source at the Ministry of Transportation and Telecommunications.
The decision will cut flying time between the Middle East states by several hours.
