36 people injured in bus accident in Sri Lanka

Colombo, Feb 29 (UNI) Thirty-six people, including 24 schoolchildren, were injured when a state-owned passenger transport bus toppled over in Siyambalanduwa, southeast Sri Lanka's Uva province, on Thursday, police spokesman Nihal Thalduwa said.
The spokesman, commenting on the incident, said the bus was traveling at high speeds and the driver lost control. He said those injured are being treated at several hospitals in the area.
Thalduwa said that the driver of the bus has been taken into custody and that they are investigating allegations that the driver was drunk.

Israel warns Iran of "consequences" for escalating tensions

Jerusalem, April 13 (UNI) Israel Defence Forces Spokesman Daniel Hagari warned Iran on Saturday that it "will bear the consequences for choosing to escalate the situation any further."
Hagari made the remarks in a statement following reports that Iran's Islamic Revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) Navy had seized an Israeli-linked cargo ship earlier in the day.
