Day temp above normal at isolated places Gangetic Bengal & Odisha

Pune, Apr 23 (UNI) Day temperatures were markedly above normal (5.1°C or more) at isolated places over Gangetic West Bengal and Odisha; appreciably above normal (3.1°C to 5.0°C) at isolated places over Bihar, Telangana, Kerala and Mahe and Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura; above normal (1.6°C to 3.0°C) at most places over Assam and Meghalaya; at many places over Arunachal Pradesh; at a few places over Jharkhand, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal and coastal Andhra Pradesh and Yanam; at isolated places over Andaman and Nicobar Islands, east Uttar Pradesh and coastal Karnataka. These were appreciably below normal (-3.1°C to -5.0°C) at isolated places over Himachal Pradesh; below normal (-1.6°C to -3.0°C) at isolated places over Uttarakhand, west Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat state and near normal over rest parts of the country. Yesterday, the highest maximum temperature of 43.8°C was reported at Cuddapah (Rayalaseema) and Bhubaneshwar (Odisha) over the country.
Hailstorms were reported at isolated places over Jammu and Kashmir, west Madhya Pradesh, Telangana and Vidarbha.
Heat wave to severe heat wave conditions in some parts over Gangetic West Bengal; Heat Wave conditions prevailed at isolated places over Odisha, Sub Himalayan West Bengal, Karnataka and Tamil Nadu. Heat wave conditions are prevailing over Odisha since 15th and over Gangetic
