Day temp above normal at many places over West Bengal & Bihar

Pune, Apr 27(UNI) Day temperatures were were markedly above normal (5.1°C or more) at a few places over Gangetic West Bengal and Bihar; at isolated places over sub-Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim; appreciably above normal (3.1°C to 5.0°C) at many places over Rayalaseema; at a few places over Odisha, Telangana, Jharkhand and at isolated places over Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal and Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura; above normal (1.6°C to 3.0°C) at a few
places over Chhattisgarh, Arunachal Pradesh; at isolated places over Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Yanam, Interior Karnataka, Konkan and Goa and Kerala and Mahe.
These were markedly below normal (- 5.1°C or less) at a few places over Madhya Pradesh below normal (-1.6°C to -3.0°C) at a few places over Gujarat state at isolated places over Jammu-Kashmir and Ladakh, Gilgit, Baltistan, Muzaffarabad and near normal over rest parts of the country. Yesterday, the highest maximum temperature of 44.6°C was reported at Nandyal (Rayalaseema) over the country.
