Top priority to infrastructure projects: Maha CM

Mumbai, Aug 30 (UNI) Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde said on Tuesday that the state government has given top priority to infrastructure projects and hoped that the Mumbai Metro 3 project, upon completion, will become a new lifeline for Mumbaikars.
Speaking at trial run of Mumbai Metro Rail Corporation's first underground Colaba-Bandra-Seepz corridor (Aqua Line) of Mumbai Metro 3 by him along with Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis at Sariput Nagar in Aarey Colony here, he said that the Mumbai Metro 3 project will help in maintaining the environment balance along with meeting the need of public transport facility.
Upon completion of Mumbai Metro 3 project, about 1.7 lakh passengers will be able to travel and this will reduce traffic congestion of about seven lakh private vehicles on the road, he said and pointed that the project will also reduce air and noise pollution.
