Piyush Goyal hands over cheques of pending salary dues to NTC employees

Mumbai, Mar 15 (UNI) Union Minister of Commerce and Industry, Consumer Affairs, and Food and Public Distribution and Textiles Piyush Goyal on Friday handed over cheques for 50 percent of pending wages to the workers' representatives of National Textile Corporation Limited (NTC) in a programme organised at Sahyadri Guest House in Mumbai.
Representatives from recognised workers unions from the western and southern regions were present on the occasion. Around 7,000 NTC Ltd. workers employed in 20 mills will benefit from it.
The Joint Secretary, Ministry of Textiles and CMD, NTC Ltd., Prajakta L. Verma was also present on the occasion.
