Send complete proposal for water supply planning till June end: Collector

Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Apr 12 (UNI) Maharashtra's Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar District Collector Dilip Swamy on Friday directed taluka level officials to plan water supply till the end of June by estimating the available sources of drinking water and the daily requirement to combat the shortfall in the district.
Swamy was speaking in a review meeting held at the district collectorate which was attended by all the officials concerned.
Swamy said proposals should be sent under the provisions of the Groundwater Act and the provisions of the Disaster Management Act regarding the acquisition of water resources, acquired wells, wells in the benefit area in the project in the district. He also issued instructions for stopping excessive use of water.
