Aurangabad, Maharashtra, Oct 15 (UNI) Medical Education Minister and Aurangabad Liaison Minister Amit Vilasrao Deshmukh has said that the Congress party workers should be ready to fight the upcoming Aurangabad Municipal Elections on their own.
While addressing to party workers on Wednesday night after the transformation of old Gandhi Bhavan which was carried out by present party active city president Hisham Osmani which was appreciated by Mr Deshmukh.
Party workers also seen in joyful mood on this occasion.
Former corporator Jahangir Khan alias Ajju Pahelwan, Prof Kazi Naveed and other party workers also joined the party.
Speaking further, Mr Deshmukh said that at present, there is an 'atmosphere against the BJP-led NDA government".
The anti-farmer law will not be enforced in the state but there are still agitations to stand by the farmers to oppose the law, he said.
The common citizen is distressed. So the Congress is taking to the streets to protest for justice.
The Congress has played a pivotal role in the development of Aurangabad. Late former Chief Minister Vilasrao Deshmukh, Dr Rafiq Zakaria made an invaluable contribution to the development of the city, said Mr Deshmukh.
Due to the decision of late Prime Minister Indira Gandhi, the High Court was started here. Many such schemes were implemented in the city. Only the Congress can develop the city, so prepare to field candidates in all 115 wards in the upcoming Aurangabad Municipal Corporation elections, he said.
MLA Rajesh Rathod ,city president Hisham Osmani, state vice president Prakash Mugadia, district president Dr. Kalyan Kale, former minister Anil Patel, Sanjay Lakhe Patil, Vilas Autade, Ibrahim Pathan, Jitendra Dehade, Adv.
