Chikhalikar criticises MVA

Nanded, Sep 29 (UNI) “The Mahavikas Aghadi government has made a mockery of the farmers by ordering a panchnama instead of providing financial assistance to the farmers affected by heavy rains occurred in the district” stated MP Prataprao Patil Chikhalikar, today.
Narrating the plight of the farmers, in a press note, he said that the district has been hit by heavy rains since the first week of September. Soybeans, green gram, urad, sorghum and cotton have also suffered heavy losses. Since the beginning of this year's kharif season, the whimsical nature has imposed a series of crises on the wrists of farmers. Still borrowing, the farmers had sown with great courage, but unfortunately the happy dreams of the farmers have been turned upside down by the heavy rains. All of the16 tehsils in the district have been hit by heavy rains. After visiting the farmers in different areas and inspecting the losses, the seriousness of the losses of the farmers comes to the fore. Despite this situation, the Mahavikas Aghadi government does not have time to wipe away the tears of the farmers. Due to the flood waters, the crops along with soil have been eroded by the nature. Stating, “On the one hand, the farmers have suffered due to the erratic nature, while on the other hand, the farmers have also suffered due to the reluctance of the Mahavikas Aghadi government to adopt an anti-farmer policy”, Chikhalikar demanded Rs 50,000 per hectare to be given to the affected as an interim relief.
He warned to the government to not to test the patients of the people.
