Reinstate reservation for Muslims: Cong leader

Mumbai, Jun 21 (UNI) Senior Congress leader in Maharashtra, Mohammad Arif Naseem Khan on Sunday urged the Maha Vikas Aghadi government to reinstate five per cent reservation for the Muslim community in the state.
While referring to the recently declared result of the State Public Service Commission in which out of 420 selected candidates only four were Muslims, he said that the Muslims should get proper representation in the government jobs.
He said that the previous Congress government had passed a bill in the state Legislature during his tenure as Minority minister granting 5 per cent reservation to Muslims in government jobs as well as in education but the same was not implemented by the BJP-led government, he charged.
