Maha: 53 nominations rejected for LS phase 2 polls

Mumbai, April 6 (UNI) The office of Maharashtra Chief Electoral Officer has informed that the applications of 299 out of 352 candidates in the eight constituencies of the state that go to polls in the second phase have been validated.
Out of 299 validated candidates, Buldhana has 25, Akola 17, Amravati 56, Wardha 26, Yavatmal-Washim 20, Hingoli 48, Nanded 66, and Parbhani has 41 candidates.
The deadline for withdrawing nominations in these eight constituencies is April 8, voting will be held on April 26, and counting will take place on June 4.
