Maharashtra logs 1,849 Covid cases

Mumbai, Aug 1 (UNI) Maharashtra reported 1,849 new Covid-19 cases taking the state’s cumulative tally to 80,47,455 as three more deaths put the overall toll at 1,48,104, health ministry data showed Monday.
Meanwhile,1,853 patients were discharged taking the recoveries to 78,86,348 so far. The state's recovery rate is 98 per cent and fatality rate 1.84 per cent.
There are at present 13,003 active patients undergoing treatment in different hospitals, the bulletin added.
In Marathwada region, there are 161 positive patients, of which 45 are in Aurangabad district followed by 44 in Latur, 20 in Osmanabad, 18 in Jalna, 12 each in Beed and Nanded districts and five each in Hingoli and Parbhani districts, the bulletin added.
