Mah: Man gets 20 yrs jail for raping minor relative

Kolhapur, Nov 26 (UNI) A 24-year-old man here on Thursday was awarded 20 years rigorous imprisonment and Rs 5,000 fine after being convicted of repeatedly raping his minor relative.
In the submission before the court, Public Prosecutor Amruta Patole averred that the accused Abdul ghani Ibrahim Patel first raped the girl on December 12 of 2017 at her residence in Hatkanangale tehsil.
After few days of the incident, he raped the girl again and impregnated her following which the victim’s mother filed a police complaint.
