Man gets 10 years RI for murder

Kolhapur, Mar 7 (UNI) A court here on Thursday sentenced a 31-year-old man to 10 years rigorous imprisonment for robbing and murdering a man at central bus stand (CBS) here in March 2018.
Public prosecutor Amit Mahadeshwar told the court that on March 13, 2018, accused Rahul alias Gogya Ramu Gavali of Rajendrnagar of the city stopped the victim, Shreedhar Pandurang Pawar (63), resident of Nitvade in Bhudargad tehsil of the district, who was on way to catch a bus from bus stand to his village, and tried to snatch his mobile phone and cash from him.
When the victim resisted, Rahul beat Pawar, in which the latter died.
