Sheena Bora Murder Case: HC dismisses CBI plea seeking stay on release of movie on Indrani Mukerjea

Mumbai, Feb 29 (UNI) The Bombay High Court on Thursday dismissed the Central Bureau of Investigation’s (CBI’s) plea seeking a stay on airing of the docuseries ‘The Indrani Mukerjea Story: Buried Truth’, clearing the way for streaming platform Netflix to release it.
Justice Revti Dhere, while dismissing the plea, held that the court found nothing in the series that would prejudice the trial or the prosecution.
The Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI) on Saturday moved the court, seeking a court nod to stay the release of a docu-series based on the life of Indrani Mukerjea, accused of murdering her daughter Sheena Bora, on the OTT platform Netflix.
