Aurangabad, Sep 19 (UNI) The Marathwada region of Maharashtra recorded 147 fresh Covid-19 cases and 2 patients are succumbed during the past 24 hours, health authorities informed on Sunday.
The district headquarters report stated that of eight districts in the region, Osmanabad district was the worst-affected with 54 cases, followed by Beed with 39 cases, Aurangabad had 37 cases, Latur recorded 5 cases and single death, Nanded recorded single death, Jalna recorded 9 cases and Parbhani had three cases.
While, in Hingoli and Nanded districts did not recorded any positive cases.
Meanwhile, during the past 24 hours, 3,391 fresh cases of COVID-19 were recorded across the state, taking the total number of infections to 65,18,502.
The state also registered 80 more deaths, taking the death toll to 1,38,469.
Meanwhile, 3,891 patients recovered in the state, pushing the total number of recoveries to 63,28,561 the recovery rate currently stands at 97.09 per cent while the fatality rate is 2.12 per cent.
At present, there are 47,919 active cases across Maharashtra undergoing treatment at different COVID-19 centres and hospitals, the health authorities said.
