Marathwada region registers 695 new nCoV cases, 17 deaths

Aurangabad, Maharashtra, Oct 15 (UNI) Maharashtra's Marathwada region reported at least 695 new COVID-19 cases in the last 24 hours in all the eight districts combined, authorities said on Thursday.
The districts also witnessed 17 more corona-related deaths during the same period.

Details from all the district headquarters collected by UNI stated that out of the eight districts of the region, Latur was the worst affected with 121 fresh cases and 5 fatalities, followed by Aurangabad with 142 new cases and 3 deaths, Osmanabad 99 cases and 3 deaths, Nanded 96 cases and 3 deaths, Jalna with 72 cases with 2 deaths, Hingoli 18 new cases and one death, Beed 115 cases and Parbhani 37 cases.
Meanwhile, 10,552 corona positive cases and 158 corona deaths were reported across the state during the same period.
With this, the state tally mounted to 15.54 lakh, of them 13.16 lakh were cured and 40,859 were succumbed so far.
While at present, 1.96 lakh patients were undergoing treatment in different hospitals and Covid care centers .
