Maharashtra reports 1,997 new Covid cases and 6 deaths

Aurangabad/Mumbai, July 30 (UNI) Maharashtra reported 1,997 fresh new Covid-19 cases and 6 related deaths, according to health bulletin on Friday.

With the addition of these new cases, the state’s cumulative case tally has surged to 80,43,519 and the death toll has gone up to 1,48,097.
Meanwhile, 2,470 patients were cured and discharged during the day across the state, taking overall count of recoveries to 78,82,236.
The state's recovery rate currently stands at 97.99 per cent and fatality rate at 1.84 per cent .
Presently, 13,186 active patients are undergoing treatment in different hospitals across the state, the bulletin added.
Meanwhile, Marathwada region rePorted 153 new Covid cases and one death, including 35 Covid cases and a single death in Aurangabad district, followed by 41 cases in Latur district, 33 cases in Osmanabad, 25 cases in Jalna district, 13 cases in Nanded, 6 cases in Beed district, while the remaining two districts did not report any new cases, the bulletin further added.
