Pune, Aug 30 (UNI) To control rising Covid-19 cases in city and its adjoining areas in the district, city police commissioner Dr K Venkatesham on Sunday made an appeal to recovered patients to donate convalescent plasma to infected patients for quick recovery.
Addressing a 'Plasmadata Gaurav’ programme held at the police commissioner's office here accompanied by joint police commissioner Dr Ravindra Shisve, Dr Venkatesham said, “Patients who have fully recovered need to donate plasma. We are implementing this initiative to give it to those who need to build immunity against the deadly virus. It can save a life.”
"This kind of initiative can save the life of many. This action of yours is vital for saving someone’s life. You should feel as if it is your responsibility, and you should be aware of your family and friends as well," said Dr Shisve.
