Aurangabad Collector sets guidelines to prevent nCoV spread

Aurangabad, Aug 23 (UNI) Aurangabad district collector Sunil Chavan has issued a set of guidelines for the citizens to follow to prevent the spread of novel coronavirus.
According to the order, masks are mandatory for every person stepping out of the house. It also covered the attacks on doctors and medic professionals and directed that any such act would not be tolerated.
Attacks on doctors are a matter of concern and the administration will take serious action in this regard, he added.
The guidelines were released after the district collector met with doctors of private hospitals on Sunday as the coronavirus cases are on the rise in the rural parts of the district.
The district collector stressed the immediate need to speed up tracing, testing and treating the patients.
He also said that more and more private hospitals should cooperate with the administration to treat patient.
So far, 74.03 per cent corona patients in Aurangabad district have recovered and returned home. The mortality rate is 3.02 per cent.
At present, there are adequate facilities in DCH, DCHC, CCC in the district. However, in the district, a large number of citizens will be screened in the market villages (growth centres) and other places as well. That is where we need the private medics to play their role actively, Mr Chavan said, adding that the administration stands firmly behind them to address problems faced by private professionals.
