Mumbai, April 10 (UNI) The Nationalist Congress Party (Sharadchandra Pawar) on Wednesday released its third list of candidates for the upcoming Lok Sabha elections naming two more candidates.
The party, which will contest on 10 of the total 48 seats from Maharashtra as per Maha Vikas Aghadi's seat-sharing formula announced candidates for Satara and Raver in the latest list.
According to a party official, the NCP (SCP) has already announced its lists of seven candidates earlier that included Ahmednagar, Baramati, and Beed.
Name of Sashikant Shinde was announced for the prestigious Satara constituency and Shriram Patil from Raver Lok Sabha seat. Shinde's candidature was announced after NCP (SCP) sitting MP Srinivas Patil refused to contest from the Satara seat.
With this NCP(SCP) has announced nine candidates so far from its 10 seats which also include Wardha, Dindori, Bhiwandi, Shirur and Madha.
Pawar's daughter and Baramati MP Supriya Sule will fight from her home turf.
As per MVA's agreement, Shiv Sena (UBT) will fight from 21 and Congress on 17 seats. Voting for the 2024 general elections will be held in five phases in Maharashtra from April 19 to May 20.
