Shiv Sena (UBT) determined to contest Sangli seat: Raut

Sangli (Maharashtra), Apr 5 (UNI) Urging Congress to give up its claim of contesting from the Sangli Lok Sabha sat in Maharashtra, Shiv Sena (UBT) on Friday said it was determined to put up its candidate from the constituency.
'We as an alliance partner of Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA) are trying to make the Congress candidate as the prime minister. So Congress should not claim the Sangli seat and Shiv Sena (UBT) is determined to contest from the Sangli seat," said Shiv Sena (UBT) MP Sanjay Raut.
Talking to reporters, Raut, who is on a three-day visit to Sangli, said there was great interest in Vishal Patil, who wanted to contest from Sangli on Congress ticket. An effort should be made to send Patil to Parliament as Rajya Sabha MP and the SS (UBT) would take the initiative.
