Maha: Congress rebel Vishal Patil files nomination as independent for Sangli LS constituency

Sangli, Apr 15 (UNI) In a big jolt to Shiv Sena (UBT), an alliance partner in Maha Vikas Aghadi (MVA), Congress party leader Vishal Patil filed his nomination paper as an independent candidate from Sangli Lok Sabha constituency on Monday.
As per seat-sharing agreement between MVA partners, the Sangli seat went to Shiv Sena (UBT) and it
announced candidature of Chandrahar Patil, even though traditionally Sangli district has been a bastion of the Congress party, which wanted to field its candidate from the district.
