PM attacks Congress in Parbhani rally

PM attacks Congress in Parbhani rally

Parbhani, Apr 20 (UNI) Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday verbally attacked the opposition Congress party, alleging that the Congressmen have deliberately kept Marathwada away from a comprehensive development year after year.
Addressing a public meeting organised for campaigning of Mahayuti's candidate and Rashtriya Samaj Party president Mahadev Jankar in Lakshmi Nagri area on Pathari road, he said that this Lok Sabha election is not about who will form next government but is being held with the goal of making India a developed and self-reliant country.
"India wants to be the third largest economy in the world. A successful mission like Chandrayaan became a source of pride for 140 crore citizens," he said and expressed that the future Gaganyaan mission will also be glorious.
The supply of indigenous weapons to the armed forces and production of vaccines in a disaster like corona pandemic is a symbol of self-reliant India, the PM pointed.
The issues raised in this election are also not common, he asserted and said hence, this election is very important.
"During the 2014 elections, issues like terrorist attacks and bomb blasts were being discussed. After five years, in the 2019 elections, discussions of terror attacks, bomb blasts, etc., were not there," he said and noted that people of the country saw a change due to surgical strikes.
Modi said that in five years, India showed to the world that it is not a country that tolerates attacks, but
retaliates by entering the homes of terrorists.
In last five years, the central government's focus was on 'Sabka Saath, Sabka Vikas and Sabka Prayas', he said.
Without any discrimination on the basis of caste and religion, the central government has given 40,000 houses to the beneficiaries in Parbhani district as well, he added.
